I love those little things that you find that end up having a story behind them. For my daughters 8th birthday I bought her a necklace, But not the ordinary run of the mill kind. Origami Owl is a really cool company that has something that I had never seen before. The have these lockets where you can choose tiny little charms to put inside. They have TONS of charms to choose from! They were selling them at cheer one day, and Faith really wanted one, so I caved. She picked out charms that represented both of us. A cheer megaphone (of course!), Her birthstone in the shape of a heart, RN (because she wants to be a nurse like me when she grows up), a camera (Of course!), a charm that said faith, and a cupcake (we love making them together). I thought it would be like any other piece of jewelry that I have bought her, she would wear it for a few days, then be done with it. She had to wait a few weeks before I gave it to her for her birthday, but since then we have been passing it back and forth. She said that when she is wearing it at school she will look at it and it makes her think of me, and that makes her happy. So when it is my turn to wear it, I do the same when I am at work. I feel as if I did not just buy a necklace, but a memory that we can share......It's the little things that sometimes end up meaning the most.

Love the locket! Where can I buy one?
I don't know who she bought this locket from & don't want to steal business away from that person, but I'll throw my site out there, too. I just LOVE stories like this!! www.charminglori.origamiowl.com
I bought it from www.tracysicilliano.origamiowl.com
